Summary:To investigate the effect of magnetic field on the electrochemical corrosion behavior of X70 pipeline steel and the effect of magnetic field on the corrosion behavior of X70 steel after immersed in Kuerle soil simulation solution, the electrochemical corrosion behavior of pipeline steel under different magnetic field strengths, directions and the presence or absence of product films was analyzed by electrochemical tests, immersion tests and metallographic analysis. Results showed that as the magnetic field strength increased, the corrosion rate of X70 steel first increased and then decreased. Changing the direction of the magnetic field had no significant effect on the electrochemical corrosion behavior of X70 steel. The corrosion trend of X70 pipeline steel was the same in both cases after immersed for 3 and 5 d, respectively, and the corrosion rate increased with the increase of external magnetic field. Moreover, the adsorption resistance of X70 steel with a product film on its surface was higher than that
