Prospectiva terminològica o com estar a l’aguait dels termes nous: un exemple en l’àmbit de la bioquímica (Terminology watch or how to be on the lookout for new terms: an example in the field of biochemistry)

El projecte Guaita terminològica té com a objectiu establir una metodologia per a la prospectiva terminològica: prenent com a base textos especialitzats en anglès, pretén extreure’n termes neològics que encara no tenen cap correspondència catalana, a fi de buscar-los un equivalent català adequat i anticipar així la difusió del manlleu anglès en el discurs especialitzat en llengua catalana. En aquest article presentem els resultats obtinguts en l’àmbit de la bioquímica. The Guaita terminològica project aims to establish a methodology for terminology watch: it is based on the exploration of English specialized texts, and it intends to extract from them neological terms that do not have any Catalan equivalence. Its final objective is to find a suitable Catalan equivalent and thus anticipating thespread of English borrowings in the Catalan specialized discourse. In this article the results obtained in the field of biochemistry are described.
