Abstract The quality of students’ perception of a literary work is based on the analysis of the results of reading activity, while a number of issues are considered in the disclosure of creative competence. The design method develops activities aimed at the collective work of students and the development of their creative activity, thinking and creativity. Literary and creative competence - increases the integrative ability of a person to independently apply elements of different knowledge, skills and methods of action in a particular situation (educational, personal, professional).
