Abstract As with all living things in the universe, human beings are also creatures that have to live by meeting their needs. Waste is the part of the substances used in line with the requirements that is no longer undesirable, must be removed from the living environment, and moreover, that constitutes harm for the environment in which it is located. In general, the word waste can also be defined as harmful substances that are thrown or released into the environment as a result of any activity. The concept of waste is evaluated through concepts such as inert, unused, and non-functional. At this point, the concept of recycling plays a very important role for life. With recycling, especially ecological and economic outputs are included in many areas of life. The diversity and subjectivity of the transformed materials has also become a means of expression for the artist artistically. The unlimited diversity offered by the waste material provides a different bond between the artist and the audience, together with recycling. Moreover, it can be effective in raising awareness. Glass material has also been an effective factor in ensuring the natural balance as many recycling materials and has become a part of sustainability. The possibility of the material in the recycling phase has enabled it to be used repeatedly in many areas and has witnessed unique combinations in terms of art. In this article, the importance of the sustainability of glass as an artistic recycling material is emphasized. In glass art, how waste material can be used artistically as a recycling material has been examined. As a result of this research, the artistic dimensionvalue gained by the artistic objects that emerge in the recycling of glass types will be revealed.
