Abstract | Three-dimensional geometry is one of the materials taught in 12th grade Senior High School majoring in science. Based on the preliminary study, there were 11 out of 35 students who found it difficult to learn the material. occurs because students are less able to imagine and draw three-dimensional geometric shapes. This situation can lead to a decrease in the level of student motivation and understanding. In addition, other reasons are the lack of availability of teaching aids and the lack of practical use of real objects to support learning. The Ministry of Education and Culture explained that the percentage of high school students who answered correctly for geometry and trigonometry material at the 2019 national final examination was 35.07%. So that there is a need for learning media that can present the impression of real objects that are more practical while at the same time increasing students’ learning motivation. The purpose of this research is to develop an Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) based on Augmented Reality (AR) for three-dimensional geometry material that can increase students’ learning motivation. The subjects in this study were 15 students of 12th grade science majoring at State Senior High School 1 Tuban. This study uses the ADDIE method, where there are 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluate. Based on the results of validation by media experts and learning practices (teachers), the results obtained are 3.94 levels of validity, 3.88 levels of practicality, and 3.82 levels of effectiveness to motivate students in learning. So the average score of GMAR learning media is 3.88 with a maximum score of 4.00. This means that the GMAR application is very suitable to be used as a learning medium to motivate students in learning three-dimensional geometry material. Especially the AR feature in the GMAR application gets an average score of 3.87. Based on these results, it can be said that the GMAR application is very feasible to use. Based on the results of these studies, GMAR can be used as a learning medium to increase student motivation and help students learn three-dimensional geometry more easily. |
