The City Of Highland Park, Illinois Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Consultants For A Tax Increment Financing (Tif) Feasibility Study For The Briergate Business District To Encourage Property Redevelopment In A Thoughtful Manner To Revitalize The Subject Area, Benefit All Taxing Bodies, Provide For Economic Development, Job Growth And Improve The Quality Of Life In The Community. The Selected Consultant Would Review The Potential Tif District Boundaries, The Eligibility Of The District And Their Development Impact To The Community. The Feasibility Study Will Identify 1) If The Area Can Meet Tif Requirements As Set Forth In State Law; 2) Identify The Redevelopment Potential Of The Area (Appendix 1 - Proposed Boundary Map); 3) Allow The City To Understand The Impact Of A Tif On All Government Agencies In The District Boundary; And 4) Review Options To Benefit The Subject Properties And Government Agencies.
