Summary:The epithelial neoplasias associated to monoclonal gammapathy (GM) seen in a general hospital over a period of six years are reviewed. 8 cases were detected, 2 of which behaved as a second neoplasia since they occurred in patients previously diagnosed of multiple myeloma. The incidence and characteristics of the monoclonal component of the neoplastic process are described as well as its possible etiopathogenic implication.
