THIS ARTICLE OFFERS A FOUR-POINT HYPOTHESIS: 1) THE WORLD ECONOMIC REVOLUTION IS A TRUE BIG CHANGE, WHAT OLD GERMAN PHILOSOPHERS WOULD CALL A PHENOMENON OF WORLD-HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE. 2) ECONOMIC REVOLUTION WILL BRING UPHEAVAL TO WORLD CULTURES AS OLD WAYS OF LIFE ARE TORN APART. 3) NEW WAR WILL SERVE THE NEEDS OF NEW MEANING. 4) THE UNITED STATES WILL NOT ONLY BE FIGHTING OLD WAR, BUT STILL BE THINKING OLD WAR. IT ARGUES THAT A CHALLENGE TO AMERICAN HEGEMONY WILL COME.
