소프트웨어 중심 에듀테크 개발: 디지털 미디어 역사학의 구성과 의미

디지털 방법론을 이용하는 역사학의 분과학문으로 디지털 미디어 역사학을 제언한다. 디지털 미디어 역사학은 기존의 디지털역사학에서보다 더 구체적이고 세부적으로 영상 이미지 제작이라는 뚜렷한 교과과정을 갖는다. 디지털 미디어 역사학은 크게 데이터베이스 제작과 영상 이미지 제작이라는 두 가지 영역으로 구성된다. 디지털 미디어 역사학에서 학습자는 우선 역사 데이터베이스 제작을 통해 연구 대상에 관한 역사적 인식의 틀을 마련하여 심층적이고 다양한 도메인 지식을 확보한 후 이를 핸들링하는 과정에서 나타나는 아이디어를 VFX, 3D 모델링 등 디지털 영상 편집 소프트웨어를 이용하여 실감 영상 이미지로 제작하게 된다. 오늘날 이러한 실감 영상 이미지는 가상 세계의 재료로도 사용되기에 이르렀는데 역사학의 학습자가 디지털 영상 미디어 제작자로서의 역량을 기른다면 이 시대 문화가 되어버린 디지털 가상 세계에 활용할 수 있는 콘텐츠 제작 기법도 길러내는 셈이다. 결과적으로 디지털 미디어 역사학에서 학습자는 역사와 디지털의 내러티브 역량을 최대한 발휘함으로써 미디어를 통해 역사적 인식을형성하고 다시 디지털 미디어로 이를 제작하여 디지털 가상 세계를 살아갈 역량을 계발할 수 있다. This study proposes that digital media history is a branch of history using digital methodology. Digital media history has a distinct curriculum of video image production in more detail than in the existing digital history. It largely comprises two areas: database building and video image production. In digital media history, learners first secure in-depth and diverse domainknowledge by establishing a framework of historical awareness on the subject through historical databases. They then use digitalvideo editing software such as VFX and 3D modeling to generate ideas and produce realistic video images. Today, theseimmersive video images are used as materials for virtual worlds. If history learners develop their capabilities as digital videomedia producers, they can develop content production techniques that can be used in the digital virtual world. Therefore, in digitalmedia history, learners can develop the ability to live in the digital virtual world by forming historical awareness through mediaand producing it with digital media by maximizing their historical-digital narrative capabilities.
