불의의 선물, 정의를 산출하는 윤리

이 글에서 이야기해 보려고 한 것은 다음과 같다. 자신의 소유를 선물로 여기는 인식이 어떻게 타인을 환대하는 윤리를 만들어 내는가. 그리고 이러한 윤리가 어떻게 정의를 산출하는 근거가 될 수 있는가. 이와 관련하여 이 글은 정의에 관한 여러 논의들, 특히 바울의 텍스트를 다시 읽는 과정에서 나온 결과물들을 참고하였다. 그 가운데 이 글이 주로 참고한 것은 신학자인 테드 제닝스의 논의였다. 이 글은 제닝스의 논의를 참고하여 최인훈의 「라울전」과 조세희의 「난장이가 쏘아올린 작은 공」, 그리고 이승우의 「오래된 일기」를 읽어 보려 하였다. 「라울전」을 통해서는 신의 경제 이면에 존재하는 불의의 문제를 살펴보았다. 「난장이가 쏘아올린 작은 공」 연작을 통해서는 사랑을 입법화하는 것이 가능한가 하는 문제를 살펴보았다. 「오래된 일기」를 통해서는 자기 소유를 선물로 여기는 인식이 어떻게 환대의 윤리를 만들어 내는지, 환대가 어떻게 정의의 근거가 될 수 있는지 살펴보았다. What is covered in this article includes: How does the perception of acquiring one's possessions as a gift without effort create an ethical hospitality for others? And how can these ethics be the basis for creating justice? In the process of researching this article several discussions on the subject of justice were consulted, especially the results of a re-reading of the Saint Paul texts. The main point of reference was the discussion of theologian Ted Jennings. In preparation for this discussion as well, a reading of Choi In-hoon's “Raul”, Cho Se-hee's The Little Ball Shut by a Dwarf, and Lee Seung-woo's “The Old Diary” were attempted while referring to Jennings’ theory. Through “Raul,” this study examined the problems of injustice that existed behind God's economy. Through the series of The Little Ball Shut by a Dwarf, this study looked at the possibility of whether it is possible to legislate love. Through the “Old Diary”, this paper examined how the perception of self-ownership as a gift creates the ethics of hospitality and how hospitality can be the basis for justice. KCI Citation Count: 1
