가람 이병기의 시조론과 사상적 기반

본고는 고시조의 현대적 계승과 발전에 선구적 역할을 담당한 가람의 시조론을 재검토하면서 그 바탕에 자리잡은 사상적 기반을 살피는 데 목적이있다 가람의 시조혁신론은 전통시가로서의 시조를 오늘날에도 창작하고 향 . 유하게 하는 데 중요한 역할을 담당한다 가람은 년대에 일어난 시조 . 1920 부흥운동에 적극 참여하면서도 그저 전통에 대한 지향이나 근대에 대한 , 반발만으로는 시조의 현대적 계승과 발전이 쉽지 않을 것이라는 사실을 인식하면서 시조의 혁신을 주창하게 된다 시조혁신론은 고유의 전통 정형시 . 가로서의 복원이 아니라 자유시의 정제된 지향으로서 시조의 확산을 기하려는 의도를 분명히 보여준다. 가람은 또한 이와 같은 시조혁신론에 입각한 실제 작품을 성공적으로 구현한다 자신이 제안한 시조의 혁신안과 작시원리를 바탕으로 뛰어난 작품 . 을 창작하여 현대시조의 새로운 미학을 보여준다 전통시가인 고시조와 달 . 리 현대시조가 현대시의 한 영역임을 분명하게 제시하였으며 이를 실제 작품으로 창작하여 실증한 것이다. 가람의 삶은 우리말과 글에 대한 연구에서 시작하여 시조창작과 시조혁신론 주창 고전적 의 수집과 정리 그리고 국문학 연구로 귀착된 , () , 古典籍 다 그 중에서도 특히 가람시조의 특징은 관념의 제시로서의 시조가 아니 . 라 대상에 대한 객관적 이미지를 통한 실감의 정서를 표출하는 데 성공했다는 점에서 의미가 있다 결과적으로 가람은 이른바 문학의 근대적 자장 . 속에서 개인의 섬세한 내적 정서를 정제된 서정으로 표출하는 데 주력한시인으로 평가할 수 있다. 가람의 시조혁신론은 시조부흥운동의 주류에서 나타난 고전의 답습이 아니라 현대적 계승과 창조에 의미가 있다 이러한 시조혁신론의 바탕에 민 . 족주의적 이념성과 미학적 심미성의 두 모습을 볼 수 있다 가람의 시조혁 . 신론과 시조 창작 역시 그의 언어관과 민족의식의 소산이라는 점에서 총체적으로 그 배경에 국학정신이 배어 있다. The purpose of this paper is to review Garam's theory of Sijo, which played a pioneering role in the modern succession and development of Gosijo, and to look at the ideological foundation underlying it. Garam's theory of Sijo Innovation plays an important role in creating and enjoying a Sijo even in modern times. While actively participating in the Sijo Revival Movement that took place in the 1920s, Garam puts forward the innovation of Sijo, recognizing that it is difficult to achieve modern succession and development simply by pursuing tradition or protesting against modern times. The theory of Sijo Innovation clearly shows the intention of spreading the sijo as a refined form of free verse, not as a restoration as a traditional fixed verse of its own. Garam also successfully creates a real work based on this theory of Sijo innovation. Garam creates outstanding works based on his proposed innovation plan and creative methods to show the new aesthetics of the modern Sijo. Unlike Koshijo, a traditional poetry, he clearly suggests that modern Sijo are an area of modern poetry, and that he creates them into real works to prove them. Garam's life begins with research on Korean language and writing and comes down to creation and innovation of Sijo, the collection and arrangement of classical literature, and the study of Korean literature. The characteristic of Garam Sijo is meaningful in that it has succeeded in expressing sentiment of real emotion through objective images of objects, not as a demonstration of ideas. As a result, Garam can be evaluated as a poet who focuses on expressing a person’s delicate inner emotions in a refined lyric within the modern nature of literature. Garam's theory of Sijo Innovation is meaningful in modern succession and transformation, not in the mainstream of the Sijo Revival Movement. On the basis of this theory of Sijo Innovation, we can see two aspects of nationalistic ideology and aestheticism. Garam's theory of Sijo Innovation and creation of Sijo are also the result of his linguistic views and national consciousness, and there is a spirit of national studies in the background.
