오세영 시론에 나타난 ‘신화적 언어’ 연구

본 논문은 시인으로서의 업적과 명성에 비해 아직 조명 받지 못한 오세영의 시론에 관해 고찰하고 있다. 오세영의 시론은 그의 시적 창작의 방향과 대화적 관계 속에 있는 동시에 서정시의 본질을 향한 깊은 탐색으로 이루어져 있다. 본고는 그 윤곽이나 의의가 선명하게 규명되지 못한 오세영의 시론을 가능한 한 면밀하고 객관적으로 살펴보는 데 주력하였다. 그것은 이러한 작업이 토대가 됨으로써 앞으로 오세영의 시론에 관한 논의가 보다 활발히 이루어지기를 바라는 의도를 내포한다. 이 과정에서 오세영의 시론이 그의 시 창작을 위한 철학을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 시가 지향할 수 있는 최대한의 상상력과 순수성의 가능성을 열어놓고 있음을 확인할 수 있을 것이다.오세영의 시론의 의미망 가운데 가장 핵심적인 부분은 상상력과 우주가 만나는 지점에 놓인다. 이는 상상력을 시의 생명이라고 보는 오세영의 경우 상상력을 무방향적으로 설정하는 것이 아니라 대상의 존재론적 측면으로 정향 지움으로써 비롯되는 것이다. 이러한 관점에 의해 대상에의 시적 천착이 이루어진다면 대상은 결국 우주적 면모를 띠게 되며 시적 행위와 결과물을 성(聖)의 범주로 귀속시킬 것이다. 오세영의 시론은 서정시에 대한 일반론의 면모를 띠고 있지만 그 내면에서는 영혼의 고갈과 정신의 황폐함을 양산하는 현대의 물질문명 속에서 본연의 자아가 추구해갈 수 있는 삶의 진정한 가치에 대해 다루고 있다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다. This paper studies the features of poetry theory of Oh, Sae-young. Especially I analyzes myth language of poetry theory of Oh, Sae-young. Through imagination in the poetry of Oh, Sae-young pointed out the his poetry world. That is to say, poetry theory of Oh, Sae-young, the poetry also was related myth space in the poetry of Oh, Sae-young. In the first his poetry has been involved features the first stage poetry in the modernization. That is common community in infancy period. Especially It restarted experience of myth space and myth language with that period. And that was resisted politics. The poetical investigation of Oh, Sae-young, as we pointed out in his text, embodies a summit of modern korean poetry. That is to say, his orientation in imagination, have the opportunity to understand in his poetry theory, the modernity of poetry. KCI Citation Count: 0
