국내 간호대학(학과)의 학사편입학 과정 현황 분석과 발전전략

연구목적: 본 연구는 국내 간호대학(학과)의 학사편입학 과정의 현황을 확인하고, 학사편입의 장점과 제한점을 파악함으로써 학사편입 과정을 발전시키기 위한 방향을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 혼합방법연구 중 순차적 설명설계를 활용하였다. 먼저 온라인 설문조사(교수자 28명, 학사편입 재학생 122명, 학사편입 졸업생 20명)를 진행한 후, 초점집단면접(교수자 6명, 학사편입 재학생 13명, 학사편입 졸업생 6명)을 시행하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과: 학사편입과정을 운영하는 28개 학교 중, 19개 학교는 입학정원 대비 학사편입 정원이 10% 미만이었으며, 오직 6개 학교만 학사편입 정원이 20-30%로 확인되었다. 학사편입학 과정의 장점으로는 다양한 배경을 가진 간호사 배출, 학사편입생들의 간호전문직에 대한 높은 열망, 그리고 성실한 태도와 성숙한 대인관계가 도출되었다. 반면 학사편입 과정의 제한점으로는 지지자원의 부족, 수업 및 실습 질 확보의 어려움, 학사편입생과 다른 학생들과의 교류 부족이 확인되었다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 학사편입과정이 확대 운영되는 상황에서 지속적으로 질높은 간호교육을 제공하기 위해 학사편입 과정의 명확한 운영 가이드라인 수립, 그리고 표준화된 교육과정 개발 및 학과에 대한 지원의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. Purpose: This study examines the current status of a second-degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in South Korea, identifies its advantages and limitations, and provides future directions for improving the program. Methods: A mixed-methods, sequential explanatory design was employed. A cross-sectional survey (n=28 faculty members, 122 enrolled students, 20 graduates) was conducted, followed by focus group interviews (n=six faculty members, 13 enrolled students, six graduates). Results: Among the 28 nursing colleges, 19 had a second-degree BSN program enrollment capacity of less than 10% of their total student capacity, whereas six colleges had a capacity ranging from 20% to 30%. The advantages of the program included producing nurses with diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a strong aspiration for the nursing profession, diligent attitude, and mature interpersonal skills among the second-degree BSN students. The limitations included inadequate support and resources for program operations, difficulties in ensuring the quality of classes and clinical practice, and limited opportunities for interaction with other students. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of establishing clear policies and guidelines for such programs and developing standardized curricula to ensure high-quality nursing education while accommodating an increasing number of students.
