u-City의 공간개념과 도시건설의 주체별 역할

Recently, the concern of ubiquitous City(u-City) in each level of governments is on the increase, and they are professing themselves to follow the u-city concept on constructing new urban development or urban renewal project. But the u-city plan and construction proceed as the simple sets of advanced technology without fundamental space concept or space plan of the u-city. Therefore, the u-city as a citizen's living space and a basic urban environment is defined in this article, the viewpoint of the space plan and the recent trends of u-city in korea are reviewed. On the basis of this review, this article proposed an approach of the spatial plan for a u-city construction, here the approach consisted of the 3 stages of planning, constructing, and maintaining of the u-city, and finally the role of the participant in the each stage and spatial hierarchy was proposed. 최근 u-City에 대한 각급 정부의 관심이 증대되고 있으며, 신도시 및 도시재개발에 있어서 u-City를 표방하고 있다. 그러나 근본적으로 u-City의 공간개념이나 공간계획에 대한 고민이 미흡한 가운데 단순히 첨단기술의 집합체로써 u-City에 대한 계획 및 건설이 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 u-City를 단순히 첨단기술의 집합체로써만이 아닌 시민의 생활을 담아내는 공간이며 기초적 도시의 환경으로써 정의하고, u-City에 대한 관점과 최근 동향을 검토하였다. 이를 기초로, 본 연구는 바람직한 u-City 건설을 위한 공간계획적 접근 방안으로써 계획단계, 건설단계, 관리운영단계를 제시하고, 끝으로 각 단계 및 공간위계에서 필요로 되는 구성주체의 역할을 제시하였다.
