국내 미기록 등수국 녹병균 Pucciniastrum hydrangeae-petiolaris

등수국은 수국과에 속하는 덩굴성 식물로 우리나라의 울릉도, 제주도, 남해안 섬에 분포한다. 2017년 10월 제주도에서 등수국에 발생하는 녹병균을 국내 최초로 발견하였다. 등수국 녹병균을 동정하기 위해, 형태적 특성을 조사하고 internal transcribed spacer (ITS) 및 28S large subunit (LSU) rDNA의 염기서열의 분자계통학적 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 한국의 등수국 녹병균은 일본과 러시아에서 보고된Pucciniastrum hydrangeae-petiolaris 의 형태적 및 분자계통학적 특징과 일치하였으며, 북미에서 보고된P. hydrangeae 와는 상당히 먼 계통학적 관계를 보였다. 본 연구는 한국의 등수국에서 녹병균P. hydrangeae-petiolaris의 첫 보고이다. Hydrangea petiolaris, belonging to the family Hydrangeaceae, is a vine plant distributed in Ulleung, Jeju, and other southern islands of Korea. In October 2017, a rust fungus was discovered on H. petiolaris in Jeju Island, Korea. To identify the rust fungus, we performed a morphological examination and molecular phylogenetic analysis of the internal transcribed spacer and 28S large subunit rDNA sequences. As a result, the fungus was identified as Pucciniastrum hydrangeae-petiolaris, consistent with previous reports from Japan and Russia, but showed a significant phylogenetic distance from Pucciniastrum hydrangeae reported on Hydrangeae spp. in North America. This is the first record of P. hydrangeae-petiolaris on H. petiolaris in Korea.
