비교과 프로그램 경험에서의 자기성장 - G대학 상담심리 학부생 중심으로

이 연구의 목적은 비교과 프로그램에서 자기성장 경험과 과정을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 상담심리 전공 학생 10명을 선정하여 그들의 다양한 비교과 경험에 대한 진술을 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 자기성장이라는 주제에 맞추어 분석되었으며, 반복적 비교분석법을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 총 69개의 개념, 14개의 범주, 그리고 5개의 영역(단계)이 도출되었다. 이러한 영역은 자기성장 과정으로 보면, 1)초기 도전 단계, 2)인식 전환 단계, 3)동기부여 및 목표설정 단계, 4)실천 및 노력 단계, 그리고 5)성장 및 통합 단계이다. 각 단계에서 참여자는 불안과 두려움을 인식하고, 긍정적인 자기인식을 발전시키며, 자발적으로 목표를 설정하고 지속적인 노력을 기울였다. 이러한 과정은 관계적 성장과 지식의 통합으로 이어져, 비교과 경험 속에서 교양과 전공에도 전반적으로 도움을 주는 자기성장의 의미를 밝힐 수 있었다. 이 연구는 비교과 경험에서의 자기성장의 단계적 과정을 제시함으로써, 학생들이 직면하는 도전과 그 극복 과정을 이해하는 데 도움을 준다. 이러한 결과는 학생들의 전인적 발달을 지원하고 학생 중심의 교육적 환경을 만드는 데 시사성이 있다. 또한, 대학 교육의 방향성을 재조명하고, 효과적인비교과 프로그램 개발 및 개선, 그리고 구체적인 요인 분석 등 에 관한 연구에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and processes of self-growth in extracurricular programs. For this purpose, 10 students majoring in counseling psychology were selected, and their statements about various extracurricular experiences were collected. The collected data was analyzed focusing on the theme of self-growth, using the Repetitive Comparative Analysis method. The analysis resulted in 69 concepts, 14 categories, and 5 domains (stages). These domains, when viewed as a self-growth process, consist of 1) initial challenge stage, 2) perception transformation stage, 3) motivation and goal-setting stage, 4) practice and effort stage, and 5) growth and integration stage. At each stage, participants recognized anxiety and fear, developed positive self-awareness, voluntarily set goals, and made continuous efforts. This process led to relational growth and integration of knowledge, revealing the meaning of self-growth in extracurricular experiences that helped both liberal arts and major studies overall. By presenting the step-by-step process of self-growth in extracurricular experiences, this study helps understand the challenges students face and their process of overcoming them. These findingshave implications for supporting students' holistic development and creating a student-centered educational environment. Furthermore, they can be used as foundational data for research on reexamining the direction of university education, developing and improving effective extracurricular programs, and analyzing specific factors.
