Abstract This study aimed to stress responses of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) to vibration stimulation by blood analysis (cortisol, glucose, lactic acid, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), total protein (TP), red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Ht), tissues (liver, kidney, intestine) and growth. The experiment was conducted over 28 days using Nile tilapia (mean total length: 11.7±0.4 cm, mean body weight: 23.4±3.7 g). The experimental groups included a control group, T1 (10:00, 19:00), and T2 (10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00) with vibration stimulation for 1 hour each. Blood, liver, kidney and intestine samples were collected for testing at 0, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days of exposure. Plasma cortisol levels was T2 group was significantly higher than that of the other experimental group after 28 days exposure. Lactic acid levels were significantly higher in the T2 group than in other groups after 14 days of exposure. Vibration stress influenced liver function, as indicated by significantly increased plasma ALT and AST levels in the T2 group throughout the experimental period. Plasma TP levels exhibited an increasing trend over the experimental period in the group subjected to vibration. Hematological analysis showed significant increases in red blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels at T1. As a result of tissue observation, in T2, liver tissue showed congestion and dilation of blood sinusoids, hypertrophy, infiltration, and vacuolization. In the kidney, an increase in melanomacrophages, interstitial edema, and necrosis in the intestine were observed.
