Rigid Gas Permeable 콘택트렌즈 처방 후 초기에 자주 겪는 문제들

Ragid gas permeable (RGP)렌즈의 처방은 세극등현미경검사, 굴절검사 및 각막곡률반경측정, 각막지형도검사 결과를 토대로 테스트렌즈의 시험 착용을 통해 가장 적절한 최종 렌즈를 결정하는 일련의 과정이다. 역동적인 움직임(dynamic movement)과 렌즈 주변눈물층의 적정성, 교정시력, 시력의 질 등을 파악하여 최종 처방에 이르게 된다. 렌즈처방 후 착용 초반부에 자주 부딪히게 되는 문제는 각종 형태의 이물감, 눈물과다분비, 시력저하(decreased visual acuity and blurring) 및 시력변동(fluctuation), 충혈, 건조감, 갑작스러운 통증, 렌즈의 이탈 또는 빠지는 현상 등 다양하다. 이 논문에서는 위에 제기된 문제점들을 알아보고 그 해결 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. Prescribing rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses involves a series of processes that determine the most appropriate final lens through the trial use of test lenses based on the results of slit lamp microscopy, measuring refraction and corneal curvature, and corneal topography. The final prescription is reached by judging the dynamic lens movement, adequacy of the tear layer around the lens, corrected vision, and quality of vision. Various problems are encountered soon after prescribing lenses, including foreign body sensation, tear hypersecretion, decreased visual acuity, blurring, visual acuity change, redness, dryness, sudden pain, lens centering, and lens fallout.
