MICE산업의 효율적 자산운용을 위한 회의면적 예측

우리나라는 2016년 총 997건의 국제회의를 개최하여 세계 1위를 차지하면서 MICE산업에서 회의(Meeting)의 분야가 중요한 산업으로 부상하고 있다. MICE산업의 주요시설인 컨벤션센터의 공급은 기획단계에서부터 5년 이상이 소요되므로 국내 회의시설 부족분에 대한 공급계획을 위해서는 적정한 수요분석이 필요하다.이처럼 대대적인 국제회의 유치와 더불어 회의시설에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있음에도 불구하고 MICE산업의 주요공간인 컨벤션센터의 면적에 관한 수요예측은 대부분 전시시설에 집중되어 있고, 회의면적에 관한 수요분석은 연구가 미흡한 실정이다.이에 본 연구에서는 현재 회의시설의 공급 현황을 파악하고 회의시설 수요에 관한 적정한 예측을 분석하고자 한다. 적정한 수요예측을 통해 MICE산업시설의 효율적 운영에 기여하고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 국내 회의시설 면적 예측분석 결과는 2018년 현재시점에서도 22,498가 부족한 상황으로 결과가 나타났고, 향후 2030년까지 국내 MICE산업 회의시설은 2020년 35,470, 2025년 65,732, 2030년에는 90,933가 부족한 상황으로 분석되었다. Since supply of the convention center, which is the main facility of the MICE industry, takes more than 5 years from the planning stage, proper demand analysis is necessary for the supply plan for the lack of domestic meeting facilities. Although demand for meeting facilities is increasing with attracting large-scale international conferences, demand forecasts about the area of ​​the convention center, which is the main space of the MICE industry, are mostly concentrated in the exhibition facilities. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the efficient operation of MICE industrial facilities through appropriate demand forecasting. The result of the forecasting analysis of the domestic meeting facilities area shows that there is a lack of 22,498 as of 2018, and the domestic MICE industry meeting facilities by 2030 will be 35,470 in 2020, 65,732 in 2025 and 90,933 in 2030.
