蘇軾 詩의 韓愈 詩文 인용 양상과 그에 따른 宋詩的 특징의 심화

蘇軾(1036-1101)은 평소 韓愈(768-824)의 문학과 학문은 물론 그의 인품과 인생 역정에 이르기까지 다방면에서 흠모하고 공감했다. 이는 그의 詩歌 창작에 커다란 영향을 미쳤는데 그것은 소식 시의 한유 시문 인용 양상에도 잘 나타나, 필자의 조사에 의하면, 한유의 시문이 소식의 시에 약 300회 인용되었다. 본고에서는 이 자료의 세밀한 분석을 통해 소식이 자신의 시에 한유의 어떤 작품을, 어떤 방식으로, 얼마나 많이 인용했는지 그 구체적인 양상을 살펴보고, 소식 시의 한유 시문 인용이 그것의 宋詩的 특징을 심화하는 데에 어떤 작용을 했는지 확인해 보았다. 연구 결과, 소식은 시를 지을 때 한유의 산문 41편에서 69회, 시 109수에서 224회, 부 3편에서 3회 등 각종 문체에 걸쳐서 두루 그리고 다량으로 한유의 시문을 인용했는데, 어떤 경우에는 원래의 어휘나 구절을 원형 그대로 인용하고 어떤 경우에는 원래의 어휘나 구절에 약간의 변화를 줌으로써 새로운 어휘나 구절을 창출했으며, 또 어떤 경우에는 한유 시문의 전체 또는 일부의 함의를 한두 마디에 압축해 넣음으로써 고도의 함축성을 꾀했음을 알 수 있었다. 한유의 시문을 인용함으로써 심화된 소식 시의 宋詩的 특징은 奇險한 표현의 多用에 따른 낯설고 색다른 정취, 才學의 과시에 따른 衒學的 분위기 등 두 가지가 있었다. 이 두 가지 특징은 嚴羽가 『滄浪詩話』에서 宋詩의 특징이라고 지적한 ‘以文字爲詩’ 및 ‘以才學爲詩’와 대체적으로 일치한다. 그러므로 소식 시의 한유 시문 인용은 소식 시가 宋詩的 특징을 심화하는 데에 상당히 크게 작용했다고 할 수 있다. Su Shi usually admired Han Yu and sympathized with him in many ways, such as his literature, his scholarship, his personality and his life itself. This had a huge impact on his poetry creation, and it was also well reflected on his quotation of Han Yu’s works. I found that Su Shi quoted Han Yu’s works about 300 times in his own poetry. Through detailed analysis of these data, I surveyed the aspect, the way and the frequency of the quotation of Han Yu’s works in Su Shi’s poetry and its effect on deepening the poetic characteristics of the Song dynasty. As a result, I found out that Su Shi quoted 69 times from 41 proses, 224 times from 109 poems and 3 times from 3 poetic essays(賦) written by Han Yu. In some cases, Su Shi quoted Han Yu’s original words or phrases literaly; in some cases, he made new words or phrases by changing original words or phrases; and in some cases, he compressed the whole contents or a part of contents into one or two words. His quotation of Han Yu’s works like these brought about a very deep implication. The poetic characteristics of the Song dynasty in Su Shi’s poetry which were deepened by quoting Han Yu’s works, has following two features: a strange and unusual flavor resulted from the frequent use of bizarre and weird expressions, the pedantic atmosphere according to the ostentation of knowledge. These two features differentiate the characteristics of his poetry from those of previous poetry, they are generally consistent with ‘writing poem with word(以文字爲詩)’ and ‘writing poem with knowledge(以才學爲詩)’, which Yan Yu(嚴羽) pointed out as the poetic characteristics of the Song dynasty in 『Canglang Shihua(滄 浪詩話)』. Therefore, I think that the quotation of Han Yu’s works in Su Shi’s poetry played a significant role in deepening the poetic characteristics of the Song dynasty.
