But this method of CVP monitoring has some potential compolication such as infection, thrombophlebitis, pneumothorax, hydrothorax, hematoma, air embolism, catheter shearing, nerve injuries & pericardial tamponade, etc. We experienced a case of hydrothorax following internal jugular vein catheterization. |
