Summary:This study aimed to clarify the relationship between the qualification ability of diet and nutrition teachers at the graduation level, their career choices upon graduation, and their experience in learning activities inside and outside the university in university teacher training courses.A questionnaire survey was conducted with 56 second to fourth-year students enrolled in teacher-training courses by distributing a form over the Web.We examined the relationship between diet and nutrition teachers’ qualification abilities, their experiences of learning activities inside and outside the university, and career choices upon graduation.We confirm a strong positive relationship between diet and nutrition teachers’ qualifications and abilities and their aspirations to become teachers upon graduation. Additionally, those who value the experience and learning related to the specific duties of diet and nutrition teachers have higher qualifications and professional awareness.
