障害児者の効率的なブラッシングには，適切な歯ブラシの選択が重要である．本研究では第1報で開発した歯ブラシ機能評価モデル凸型の単半円柱モデルを用いてブラッシング時の歯ブラシの挙動を反映する振幅と荷重について評価した．スーパーテーパード毛（以下，ST毛とする）の歯ブラシ（DENT.EX systemaシリーズのgenki（以下，GRとする），genki f（以下，GFとする），42M（以下，SYとする））と，コンパクトヘッドでラウンド毛の歯ブラシ（DENT.EX 3S（以下，DSとする））を用い，モデルのブラッシング時の連続写真撮影，慣性センサから得られた加速度からヘッド位置を算出し，その最大値と最小値の絶対値の和から振幅，垂直方向の加速度AZを測定した．振幅は，荷重増加に伴って減少し，GRが300gf，GFとSYでは200gf，DSは600gfで極小値を示した後で増加に転じた．AZは荷重の増加に伴って減少し，ST毛では振幅の極小値を示した荷重後の値をおおむね維持し，SYだけが600gfで急激に増加した．最小追従荷重はSY＜GF＜GR＜DS，最大追従荷重はSY＜GF＜GR＜DS，追従荷重範囲はSY＜GF＜DS＜GRであった．以上から，ブラッシング時の力のコントロールが難しい障害児者は，追従荷重範囲が広く，さまざまな荷重でAZが低値であるのものを選択することが効率的なブラッシングにつながると考えられ，幅広植毛歯ブラシの選択が有用である可能性が示唆された． It is important for special needs patients to select an appropriate toothbrush.
