Summary:Glottic adhesion is a relatively rare disease. It is classified into anterior and posterior adhesion. A history of long-term tracheal intubation is a common cause of this condition. We herein report a case of posterior glottic adhesion. A 39-year-old male complained of dyspnea at his first visit to our hospital. Laryngoscopy showed bilateral vocal cord immobility from the oral side. However, observations from the tracheostoma showed posterior glottic adhesion. Under general anesthesia, the adhesion was excised using a cold instrument. No re-adhesion has been observed for ten months during the follow-up.
