Stroke Care Unit開設後一年間の急性期虚血性脳血管障害の治療成績
「緒言」stroke care unit(SCU)は脳卒中専門の高度集中治療病棟で, 冠動脈疾患を対象としたcoronary care unit(CCU)で効果が明らかになった1960年代に, 脳卒中への応用としてSCUの試みが行われるようになった. また脳卒中治療体制の1つであるSCUの急性期治療に加えリハビリテーションも計画的に行っていく脳卒中専門病棟としてstroke unit(SU)も治療の場となっている. | Abstract | 「緒言」stroke care unit(SCU)は脳卒中専門の高度集中治療病棟で, 冠動脈疾患を対象としたcoronary care unit(CCU)で効果が明らかになった1960年代に, 脳卒中への応用としてSCUの試みが行われるようになった. また脳卒中治療体制の1つであるSCUの急性期治療に加えリハビリテーションも計画的に行っていく脳卒中専門病棟としてstroke unit(SU)も治療の場となっている. SCUあるいはSUについてのレビューでは, SUの臨床的転帰は一般病棟と比べ有意にADL自立例が多く死亡例が少ないと報告されている1. これらの報告を受け米国では脳卒中は心臓発作と同様にbrain attackとして認識され, time is brainという標語まで作られ発症からできるだけ早く脳卒中専門の施設に搬送することを国民に啓発し, 国をあげてのキャンペーンを展開している.
