体内に存在する組織幹細胞の研究が進み、それを用いた再生医療の開発が期待されている。内在性幹細胞を利用することができれば低コストで安全な治療が可能になると考えられるが、その実現のためには再生能力を促進する技術が必要である。内在性幹細胞の分化・誘導因子を局所に供給するドラッグデリバリー技術の有効性が種々の研究によって明らかにされ、臨床応用がなされているものもある。こうした取り組みの現状を紹介する。
