Summary: | The present paper deals with the piezoelectric energy harvesting from aeroelastic vibration with simply supported plates. The supersonic panel flutter energy harvester is composed of a piezoelectric element attached to the structures and a conventional harvesting circuit. A diode bridge of four diodes is connected to the piezoelectric element and it provides a mechanism of current rectification. Aeroelastic analysis of simply supported plates with a piezoelectric element is based on a finite element method and a quasi-steady aerodynamics. The effect of location of the piezoelectric element on converged voltage in the harvesting system is examined through the numerical examples. |
