| Abstract | 病理組織学的に Langerhans 細胞(L細胞)の非腫瘍性増殖と好酸球浸潤を伴う肉芽腫形成を特徴とする疾患は好酸球性肉芽腫症(eosinophilic granuloma, EG)とよばれている. 1940年 Otaniら1)は, 組織球増殖と好酸球浸潤を伴う大腿骨病変を EGとして報告したが, 翌1941年には Farber2)が, この疾患が Hand-Schuller-Christian 病および Letterer-Siwe 病と酷似していることを記載した. その後, 1953年に Lichtenstein3)がこれらの疾患を Histiocytosis X と総称することを提唱した. それに対し, 1972年に Wolff4)が Langerhans cell granulomatosis という用語を用い, 1980年には Liebermanら5)が, Histiocytosis X よりも Langerhans cell granulomatosisという用語が適切であると報告した. また, 1983年に Risdallら6)はこれらの疾患が組織球である L細胞の反応性疾患であるという概念から, Langerhans'cell histiocytosis という用語を使用しており, 現在では Histiocytosis X の他に, Langerhans cell granulomatosis と Langerhans'cell histiocytosisの名称も用いられている. |
