Abstract 白血球数とその分画,リンパ球亜群およびPHAに対するリンパ球幼若化反応を喫煙者110人と対照として76人の非喫煙者について比較検討した。 喫煙者の白血球数,リンパ球数,T細胞数およびT細胞%は非喫煙者にくらべ,有意に高値を示したが,B細胞%は低値を示した。喫煙本数および期間別にみると,白血球数,リンパ球数,T細胞数は一日喫煙本数が多く長期間喫煙している群で高く,好中球白血球数は長期間喫煙者で高値を示した。PHAに対するリンパ球幼若化反応については喫煙者と非喫煙者間に明らかな差を認めなかった。 白血球数,好中球白血球数およびB細胞数は喫煙者でのみ年齢と有意の正相関を示し,PHAに対するリンパ球幼若化反応は喫煙者・非喫煙者で年齢と有意の負相関を示した。 以上の所見は長期間の喫煙により生じた気道の慢性炎症により免疫系が刺激されたために観察されたものと考えられる。
