Summary:Immunoadsorption is interpreted as an adsorptionutilizing the immunological reaction, in a narrow sense. While taking the word in a wide sense, specific or selective adsorption of pathogenic immune reactants by affinity adsorbent isincluded in immunoadsorption. There are several immunoadsorbents currently available for clinical application and testing, which have given us fairly good results. These procedures, replacing plasma exchange, have a promising future in the treatment of immune diseases.
