These advances have happened to occur many vibration troubles on rotating machinery. Especially in recent year, the radial clearance between rotating shaft and casing come to smaller to get higher performance of the machines. As a result, sever vibration occur on the rotating shaft accidentally, when the contact between shaft and casing occurred. Such problems dose not yet solved enough due to the complexity of the rubbing-contact and the collision mechanisms. This paper deals with the vibration behavior of the rotating shaft due to contact with casing, theoretically and experimentally.
