Two New Species and a New Record of Sauvagesia (Ochnaceae) in the Chapada Diamantina of Bahia, Brazil

Two new species, Sauvagesia ribeiroi Harley & Giulietti and S. oliveirae Harley & Giulietti, are described from the Chapada Diamantina and the discovery of S. linearifolia A. St.-Hil., new for Bahia, is recorded. The infra-generic classification of the genus and the significance of the new finds are discussed. A key to the new species, and S. semicylindrifolia Sastre, the species closest to them morphologically, is provided, which is harmonized with the key in a recent paper on the species of Sauvagesia that occur in Minas Gerais and Bahia. An analysis of leaf lamina and petiole anatomy and sepal morphology confirms the distinctness of the three species. The new species are illustrated and their conservation status is summarized. /// Duas novas espécies, Sauvagesia ribeiroi Harley & Giulietti e S. oliveirae Harley & Giulietti, são descritas da Chapada Diamantina, Bahia. Também, é apresentada a nova ocorrência de S. linearifolia A. St.-Hil., para a mesma região. A classificação infra-genérica do gênero e a importância da ocorrência dos táxons são discutidos. É apresentada chave para as novas espécies e S. semicylindrifolia Sastre, a espécie mais similar. Esta chave é complementar e está de acordo com o recente trabalho que inclui as espécies de Sauvagesia de Minas Gerais e Bahia. Um estudo morfo-anatômico do pecíolo, lâmina foliar e sépala confirmou a distinção das três espécies. As novas espécies são ilustradas e seu estado de conservação é analisado.
