Summary: | In this work, we propose an extended MATLAB/Simulink version of heterogeneous oscillator heart model for simulation of the effect of applied external highf-requency stimulation on the cardiac conduction system and demonstrate some simulation results applying signals with different amplitude, frequency and duration. Using the model we observe reversible and irreversible conduction blocks as well as initiation and termination of atrial and ventricular fibrillations. The proposed model can be used for research, educational and testing purposes. |
