Abstract Data fusion of sensors is a useful technique to obtain more comprehensive information about the monitoring targets in wireless sensor networks (WSN). This paper proposes a data fusion algorithm based on fuzzy logic theory to monitor a parking space in the parking lot using magnetic sensors and point out the probability of occupancy of the corresponding parking space. Simulation results show that our algorithm gathers more accurate information about the monitoring targets to support right decisions and has the ability of anti-interference.
