Summary: | The increasing complexity in today's mobile networks enforces the need for more sophisticated and more realistic simulation scenarios. It is a pre-requisite to cope with the effects in real heterogeneous networks in order to allow the exploitation of their inherent heterogeneity. This paper describes the first version of a common "ready-to-use" simulation environment in the city of Hannover: A complete LTE network, which has been modelled for the entire city area. In addition, sophisticated modelling approaches for user mobility patterns have been employed. Furthermore, provisioning a common scenario ensures the comparability of simulation results, which are based on this scenario. |
