Summary: | This paper presents a compact Ku-band Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave Synthetic Aperture Radar (FMCW SAR) with the capability of real-time imaging. In this compact radar, an eight-core Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is used as the signal processing kernel. With the application of the high-performance processor, the efficiency is significantly improved. During the real-time imaging, the imaging algorithm is modularized, and each processing module of the imaging algorithm is efficiently realized in parallel. To demonstrate the high performance of the parallel processing, the ratio of speedup is analyzed specifically. Beneficial results have been achieved after times of airborne tests. |
