Summary:This paper presents a new modulation method for a bidirectional isolated three-phase AC/DC Dual-Active-Bridge (DAB) converter to realize higher efficiency in wide output voltage range. The proposed modulation method realize the bidirectional power flow control with Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) in all switching devices and low conduction losses by using 5 level PWM and PSM (Phase Shift Modulation). Experimental results employing a 10kW prototype converter using SiC-MOSFETs verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
