Summary:This chapter is devoted to three different fiber sensors based on the FBG for different sensing applications. The FBG is a kind of excellent optical passive component for a wide range of sensing applications by means of special structure designs and packages. This is due to the small size, immunity to electromagnetic interference, and in-line characteristics, etc. Here, we show several sensing applications by using FGBs, including a lateral pressure sensor, by combining the structure packaging design with the pressure sensitivity to be 10900 times higher than that of using a bare FBG, high-sensitivity temperature-independent DPsensor the sensitivity of 5.27 × 10−1 Mpa−1, and a random rotational angle sensor using two fiber gratings with high accuracy for detecting the rotary position with full around 360° in any direction of a rotor, etc.
