Abstract | This paper proposes an efficient, fast-converging iterative scheme based on many local method of moments (MoM) solutions, to accurately solve the surface currents on large, single-element excited antenna arrays. Embedded element pattern computations require such solutions. The theory is developed for planar antenna arrays of identical disjoint elements. Preliminary numerical results demonstrate that very few iterations are required for accurate results, and that the rate of convergence is related to the size of the local solution domains. |
