Summary:This article contains information about existing forest models. The history of their development and methods for solving the problem of radio wave propagation through the forest in the conditions of these models are considered. A forest constructor is also proposed, based on the determination of the refractive index at all points of the cross-section of the space. Based on this constructor, a numerical solution of the radio wave propagation problem in the forest is obtained using the parabolic equation method.
