Summary:In this paper the technique of parameters measurement of the dielectric materials (permittivity and dielectric loss tangent) with consideration for real condition of the metal walls of the measuring resonator is discussed. The conductivity of the resonator metal walls can be measured by this technique. The resonance structure contains a section of a circular evanescent waveguide. Inside it is placed a dielectric element and a short-circuit plunger. The cross section of the waveguide is totally filled with the DE. Such resonator is known as a waveguide-dielectric resonator.
