Abstract | The paper suggests the numerical shaping and exploration of a miniaturized coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed 2-element ultra-wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna including fractal and hybrid fractal structures for improvement of wideband isolation as well as attainment of triple band rejection characteristics. The radiator owns a wide impedance bandwidth extending from 3.4-12 GHz with an isolation above 15 dB. The radiator demonstrates high diversity traits accompanying steady gain and omnidirectional patterns. The possession of preferable impedance, radiation, and diversity traits thus allows the utilization of the radiator in portable UWB MIMO mobile terminals. |
