Abstract | Ad hoc networking, also known as D2D networking, is a method of communication that does not require on any preexisting infrastructure, notably but not limited to dedicated routers, transceiver base stations, or even cables. D2D networks have proven to be an intriguing subject for research scientists and entrepreneurs that pioneered the internet. A D2D network is an ad hoc network that may change locations and adapt its configuration dynamically. Since D2D networks are movable nodes, they link to a variety of networks using wireless connections. It is possible for this to be a regular Wi-Fi connection or, alternatively, a broadcast through cellular or satellite technology. While others may be connected to the internet, some are limited to those wireless devices that are located within a specific geographic area. Given the dynamic nature of D2D networks, they do not offer a high level of security. Considering the dynamic nature of ad hoc networks, the focus is on addressing the routing algorithms difficulties and performance Due to the numerous routing methods suggested for D2D networks, it is quite difficult to determine the most suitable protocol for different network scenarios. This study aims to evaluate different routing algorithms performance and provide suggestions for selecting the most suitable routing algorithms for specific applications. |
