Abstract We have researched gesture interfaces for persons with motor dysfunction who cannot use normal interface switches. For this purpose, we have collected data on various types of gestures to develop a contactless, non-constraining interface for operating PCs and home electrical appliances by utilizing a commercially available RGB-D camera. We describe the gesture menu and the remote-control device for controlling them.
