Abstract | The key purpose of this investigation was to explore the teachers' perception the life skills for K-12 learners and to explore the difference in the opinions of private and public school teachers about essential life skills for k-12 school students. This study was quantitative and descriptive in nature. Data were collected from 390 randomly selected teachers through a self-developed questionnaire that was pilot tested and 0.82 Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient was determined which indicated the appropriateness of the questionnaire for further use. Data were analyzed via calculating mean scores and independent t test. The results of the study illustrated that all of the teachers possess very positive perception about every component of life skills for students but all of them emphasized significantly on coping and self-management skill which is related to personal and emotional aspects of their personality. A slight difference was perceived regarding the overall perception of male and female; private and public school teachers. |
