모꾸메가네(Mokumegane)기법을 활용한 상품개발디자인 연구 -장신구, 안경, 볼펜을 중심으로

연구배경 산업혁명이후 현대사회는 대량생산으로 만들어지고 보급되고 사용되어지고 있다. 하지만 이러한 대량상품이 아닌 고부가가치적 핸드메이드 작품 또는 제품을 소유하고자 하는 현대인들이 욕구는 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 이러한 현대인에게 라이프스타일에 필요한 내재욕구를 파악하여 추구하는 가치에 맞춰 금속공예기법 가운데 오래된 기법 중 하나인 모꾸메가네(Mokumegane)기법을 활용하여 상품디자인 및 제작해보고자 한다. 저렴한 공예품이 아닌 희소성 있는 모꾸메가네기법을 활용한 안경, 장신구, 볼펜 등을 중심으로 현대적인 상품을 디자인하고 일본 전통기법 계승뿐만 아니라 다양한 상품에 접목하여 고부가가치를 높여 공예품을 대중화할 수 있도록 현대적으로 재해석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 모꾸메가네기법의 역사와 이론적 배경을 살펴보고 금속의 종류를 분류해서 알아보았다. 그리고 여러 가지 무늬를 나타내는 모꾸메가네 판재의 제작과정을 그림으로 나타내었다. 모꾸메가네를 응용한 장신구와 볼펜을 제작하고 안경은 다양한 자연스러운 무늬로 재현한 3D 시뮬레이션으로 디자인하여 수정보완을 하여 착용가능한 시제품 제작하였다. 연구결과 이를 통해 전통금속공예기법 중 모꾸메가네를 계승하고 볼펜, 장신구, 안경을 고부가치적 가치를 높여 대중성과 심미성을 모두 얻을 수 있었다. 결과 2개 이상의 금속을 융접한 판재를 잘 표현하기 위해 니이로 착색방법도 제시하여 고급화되고 있는 소비문화에 맞춘 소재생산의 초석을 다지고자한다. Background Modern society still has many items which has been used in mass production since the Industrial Revolution. Thus, it is required for the modern man to grasp life styles of the individuals and their needs and seeds and ponder their values by using the oldest techniques among the Metal Crafts techniques, Mokumegane. The purpose of the study is to investigate and discuss the expression of natural patterns by using Mukumegane technique with the modern interpretation of the traditional crafts by applying eyeglasses, contemporary Jewelry and ball pen. Method Therefore, it presents for the theoretical background of Mukumegane and not only the photographs and illustrations are shown for the productions which end up with various patterns and simulate 3D for eyeglass but also Niiro-colouring. Result Through investigation and research on the effects get from the combination of traditional skill as Mukumegane and high technique, making a variety of designed products such as ball pen, eyeglass, contemporary jewelry are produced in tne modern society. Conclusion the Mukumegane sheets which made of over 2 metal sheets. Meanwhile, it aims for objective preparation for the high quality craft-market through the succession of the traditional techniques and its modern re-interpretation.
