Data are presented on the concentrations of essential trace elements in placenta, which were gathered between 1976 and 2000. Concentration data are presented and discussed for calcium, sodium, potassium, sulfate, chromium, copper, iron, manganese, selenium, and zinc, as well as for the non-essential elements, cesium, strontium, vanadium, antimony, barium, beryllium, bismuth, lanthanum, lithium, rubidium, and thallium.
