Abstract_FL Women of childbearing age are at a heightened risk for autoimmune diseases,with an incidence rate ranging from 1.5 to 10 cases per 10000 individuals. Biologic agents,recognized for their efficacy and minimal adverse effects,are commonly utilized in this population. Research indicates significant variability among different biologic agents regardingtheir ability to cross the placental barrier. Currently,the World Health Organization (WHO)and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) have not established a standardized vaccination protocol for infants exposed to these agents during pregnancy. This article aims to review the selection of biologic agents by pregnant women and their effects on fetal development and vaccine immune responses. The goal is to provide clearer guidance for clinical decision-making and to enhance maternal and infant health outcomes.
