Abstract Objective: To map the international scientific production related to stakeholder theory in the field of Public Administration, with emphasis on the contribution of Brazilian researchers.   Theoretical Framework: The perspective that considers stakeholders as individuals or groups with power, influence, or resources is widely used in strategic management studies. While private organizations deal with specific groups of stakeholders, in the public sector, virtually all citizens are potential stakeholders.   Method: Through bibliometric research, articles resulting from a search on the Web of Science platform were analyzed, using the terms "stakeholders" and "Public Administration". The search returned 2,296 articles internationally, and 55 after refinement for Brazilian authors.   Results and Discussion: The results demonstrated that countries such as the United States and England account for almost half of the publications on the subject, while Brazil maintains a peripheral position in this research field. The microanalysis of national production highlighted the contributions of researcher Ricardo Corrêa Gomes.   Research Implications: The theoretical implications of this study are significant for the development of theoretical approaches that consider the institutional, cultural, and political specificities of the Brazilian context. From a practical standpoint, the results suggest the need for greater integration between academic production and public management practice.   Originality/Value: Research on stakeholders in the public sector can contribute to a more inclusive and transparent public administration, promoting balance between the interests of different groups and the construction of fairer and more effective public policies.
