Potocytosis: Sequestration and Transport of Small Molecules by Caveolae
The uptake of small molecules by eukaryotic cells is thought to occur by movement across the membrane through water-filled channels, carriers or transporters. Potocytosis, which is the sequestration and transport of small molecules by Caveolae, is described.
